Andy Wellwerts is a right handed pitcher who
has been lights out this season. He would have more innings
but we have been hit with rainouts this season. We are
looking for big things from Andy for ther remainder of the
season. |

Craig has had muscle spasms in his back that
has slowed his progress. Craig had a slow start and walked
two in the first inning. Both scored on a single and he
never gave up a walk, or run and only 1 more hit in the
shortened 5 inning game. |

Unfortunately Austin missed all of his Junior
season with a torn ACL. Although still not quite 100% he is
putting up good numbers while working his way back to full
strength. |

He has been consistent all year long. Finds
a way to get on base and make things happen with his
tremendous speed. He is one of the best, if not the best
outfielder I've seen in a very long time. Is a vocal and
good leader for all the young players we have as well and is
a very hard worker to. |

Brandon Cloutier has led Lake Central to a
12-0 start and 4-0 conference start. Brandon started
Duneland Conference play with a bang verse La Porte. He
went 3-3 with 2 doubles, a homerun, and 6 RBIs. He hasn't
cooled off either, contributing multiple hits in all four
conference games. One thing that's missing from the stat
line is his patience. He has drawn nine base on balls and
been hit by 3 pitches to this point. |

Jeremy is our captain and sole leader on and
off the field. He has a 4.0 GPA and is going to Purdue to
study engineering. He has started all 4 years and never had
below a .320 batting average. He is a lefty pitcher with 5
pitches he has command with. He throws a 4-seam, 2-seam,
cutter, slider, and a changeup. He deserves to be Mr.
Baseball. He was selected to the 2nd team All-State honors. |

For the last two years, I feel Scotty has
been the best center fielder in the area. Last season he
finished with 50 put outs at that position. He gets a great
jump on the ball when it is hit. And with his speed he has
great range. |

Tyler currently leads Howard County
(includes: Kokomo, Wester, Eastern, Nortwestern, and
Taylor) in RBI and Batting Average. He is averaging close
to 2 RBI per game. He is multi-dimensional as he can
actually pitch too. I think he would be a great candidate. |
